4/14/04 Hi, Early this morning, as I was on the computer, Maryah talked to me but still would not get close. All of a sudden, a few minutes ago, she not only let me pet her but she began to smooth on my legs! This is *the closest* she has ever been to my body except that first day we adopted her, when I held her. She did this several times, and seemed to really like being told "good girl!"

The taming of Maryah's progress was more than two paw steps back for her today. We had not had a good cleaning of our house since--ew, you might not want to say you know of me--before Thanksgiving.
